U.S. Ambassador Hans Klemm Participates In Inauguration Ceremony At Deveselu School And Kindergarten

U.S. Ambassador to Bucharest, Hans Klemm, participated Tuesday, November 10, in an inauguration ceremony at Deveselu school and kindergarten.

„Providing a better environment for the education of the children of this part of Romania will have long lasting effects.  Better education leads to better outcomes and will help the future of the region and help Romania grow and prosper.” said ambassador Hans Klemm.

The renovation of the Deveselu school and the building of a new kindergarten are part of an project financed by EUCOM HA and coordinated by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC).

The contract to build a new kindergarten, with 3 classrooms and one multipurpose room, was awarded in May 2014 to  a local company (REGAT Construct). Work was completed in June 2015. The contract value was USD 250,000.

The contract to renovate the school in Deveselu was awarded in June 2014 to a local company (REGAT Construct). EUCOM HA contribution was USD 243,614. Work was completed in May 2015.
