Annual Program Statement

The U.S. Embassy Bucharest Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Department of State is pleased to announce that funding is available through its Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program. This is an Annual Program Statement, outlining our funding priorities, the strategic themes we focus on, and the procedures for submitting requests for funding.

Purpose of Small Grants: PAS Bucharest invites proposals for programs that strengthen cultural ties between the U.S. and Romania through cultural and exchange programming that highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation. All programs must include an American cultural element, or connection with American expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives.

Funding Opportunity Title: Traveling Outdoor Photography Exhibit – Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the U.S.–Romania Strategic Partnership

U.S. Embassy in Romania invites non-profit, non-governmental Romanian organizations, and institutions with demonstrable experience in creative areas including the visual arts (photography, architecture, painting, graphic design, printmaking, etc.), museums, or galleries, to apply for a grant to organize a traveling photography exhibition to highlight and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the U.S.-Romania Strategic Partnership (initiated July 1997.)
The exhibit will showcase the benefits that U.S. transatlantic cooperation has brought Romania and the Romanian people, as well as the numerous positive steps Romania has taken over the course of the past 25 years during its transition into an ever-more resilient democracy, American and NATO ally, and regional leader.
