The U.S. Embassy in Bucharest is organizing an online auction of U.S. Government property (including furniture, household appliances, IT equipment, household and kitchen items, and office supplies).
Photos of the items for auction can be viewed on the Embassy website (https://online-auction.state.gov) beginning Saturday, November 9 at 08:00.
Bids can be submitted on the Embassy website (https://online-auction.state.gov), by selecting “Bucharest RO” beginning at 09:00 Sunday, November 10 through 17:00 Tuesday, November 12.
Offers must only be made in RON, and payments will only be accepted by depositing the value of the winning bid amount in the following sweep account: RO49CITI0000000120055143.
The winners will be announced on the auction website. Winning bidders will have three (3) business days, Wednesday, November 13 through Friday, November 15, to deposit the amount of their winning bid.
Winners must collect their items Monday, November 25 through Wednesday, November 27 between the hours of 08:30 and 12:00 at the U.S. Embassy service entrance gate located at Dr. Liviu Librescu Blvd. no. 4-6, sector 1, Bucharest.
Auction winners must bring a Romanian Government-issued photo ID and only winning bidders will be able to take possession of the lots. Auction winners must make their own arrangements at their own expense to remove the items from U.S. Embassy property.
