The U.S. Embassy is holding an Online Auction of USG property to the public beginning at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday , September 2 and closing on Sunday, September 8 at 5:00 pm. Details of allotted items for sale with photos can be viewed directly by accessing the US Embassy Online Auction https://online-auction.state.gov and selecting Bucharest, RO. The hyperlink is accessible via any internet connection.
Individuals interested in bidding will need to register online to create an account. Each lot can be viewed and the registered bidder can login to place bids. The minimum bid price per lot is indicated. Items up for bid include appliances and vehicles. Bids must be submitted by 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2019.
Winning bidders will then be notified by email with a link to login to the online auction where winning bids can be reviewed. Payment for items is possible only in Romanian Lei (cash). Payment and retrieval of items must occur from 0900-1100 and 1400-1600 on Thursday, September 12 or 0900-1100 on Friday, September 13 from Embassy headquarters located in 4-6 Dr Liviu Librescu boulevard, district 1,service entrance gate.
